Job Overview

Accenture is looking for an experienced SME – R2R General Accounting professional with 3+ years of relevant experience. The candidate will be responsible for supporting and managing Record-to-Report (R2R) and general accounting activities, ensuring accurate financial reporting, timely month-end close, and adherence to accounting policies and processes.

1. Manage day-to-day R2R and General Accounting activities.
2. Perform month-end and year-end closing activities.
3. Prepare and review journal entries and accounting adjustments.
4. Perform account reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
5. Handle General Ledger (GL) accounting activities.
6. Support accruals, provisions, prepayments, and intercompany accounting.
7. Prepare and review financial reports and accounting schedules.
8. Ensure compliance with accounting policies and internal controls.
9. Identify process gaps and recommend process improvements.
10. Resolve accounting issues and handle escalations.
11. Perform quality checks and ensure accuracy of financial transactions.
12. Support audits and provide required financial documentation.
13. Act as a Subject Matter Expert for R2R processes.
14. Guide team members on process-related queries and accounting practices.
15. Coordinate with internal stakeholders and other finance teams.

1. Minimum 3+ years of experience in R2R / General Accounting.
2. Strong knowledge of General Ledger and Record-to-Report processes.
3. Experience in month-end and year-end closing activities.
4. Good knowledge of journal entries and account reconciliations.
5. Experience with accruals, provisions, prepayments, and intercompany accounting.
6. Strong knowledge of MS Excel.
7. Good understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
8. Ability to identify and resolve accounting discrepancies.
9. Experience handling process escalations and stakeholder queries.
10. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
11. Good verbal and written communication skills.
12. Willingness to work in US/night shifts.

Qualification

1. B.Com / BBA or equivalent Commerce/Finance qualification.
2. Candidates with relevant R2R / General Accounting experience are preferred.
3. Good working knowledge of MS Excel and accounting systems.
4. Strong communication and analytical skills.
5. Relevant accounting certifications are an added advantage.
