Job Overview

EXL Service is looking for an experienced Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, manage, and optimize scalable cloud infrastructure and data solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms, automation, CI/CD, infrastructure management, and cloud migration.

1. Design, deploy, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure.
2. Manage cloud environments with a focus on performance, availability, security, and cost optimization.
3. Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for application and data deployments.
4. Automate infrastructure provisioning and operational processes.
5. Monitor cloud environments and troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues.
6. Support cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
7. Collaborate with Data Engineers, DevOps Engineers, Developers, and business stakeholders.
8. Implement security, access control, backup, and disaster recovery practices.
9. Build and maintain data pipelines and cloud-based data solutions where required.
10. Optimize cloud resources and recommend improvements for scalability and reliability.
11. Maintain technical documentation and follow cloud governance and compliance standards.

1. 4+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Cloud Infrastructure, DevOps, or a related field.
2. Strong hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
3. Good knowledge of cloud services such as compute, storage, networking, IAM, databases, and monitoring.
4. Experience with Linux/Windows server administration.
5. Strong knowledge of CI/CD and deployment practices.
6. Experience with Git/GitHub/GitLab.
7. Working knowledge of Python, Shell scripting, or PowerShell.
8. Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
9. Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes is preferred.
10. Understanding of cloud security, networking, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
11. Experience with cloud migration, platform modernization, or data migration projects.
12. Good SQL and data-handling knowledge is an advantage.
13. Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
2. Relevant cloud certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Administrator/Architect, or Google Cloud certification is preferred.
3. Experience working with ETL/ELT, data warehouses, and modern cloud data platforms is an added advantage.
4. Experience in analytics, insurance, financial services, or other enterprise environments would be beneficial. EXL's current cloud and data work spans cloud modernization and data/AI-led transformation.
