Job Overview

VOLTO Consulting is looking for a motivated and skilled Python Developer with 1–2 years of professional experience to join its remote technology team.

The ideal candidate should have strong fundamentals in Python programming, experience developing applications or backend services, and a good understanding of databases, APIs, debugging, and software development practices.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develop, test, and maintain applications using Python.
2. Write clean, efficient, reusable, and scalable Python code.
3. Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and application components.
4. Work with databases to store, retrieve, and manipulate application data.
5. Integrate third-party APIs and internal services.
6. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues.
7. Perform unit testing and participate in code reviews.
8. Collaborate with developers, QA engineers, business analysts, and other stakeholders.
9. Translate technical requirements into effective software solutions.
10. Identify and fix bugs and performance issues.
11. Maintain technical documentation and development-related records.
12. Participate in application enhancements and new feature development.
13. Follow coding standards, version-control practices, and software development best practices.
14. Stay updated with emerging Python frameworks, libraries, and development technologies.

Required Skills

1. Strong knowledge of Python programming.
2. Good understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) concepts.
3. Experience with Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or FastAPI is preferred.
4. Good knowledge of REST APIs and web services.
5. Understanding of SQL and relational databases.
6. Familiarity with databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQL Server.
7. Good understanding of data structures and basic algorithms.
8. Knowledge of Git/version-control systems.
9. Experience with debugging and troubleshooting.
10. Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC).
11. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
12. Strong attention to code quality and maintainability.

Good to Have Skills

1. Exposure to AWS / Azure / Google Cloud.
2. Knowledge of Docker and containerization.
3. Familiarity with CI/CD concepts.
4. Basic knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
5. Exposure to Pandas, NumPy, or other Python libraries.
6. Knowledge of JSON, XML, and API integration.
7. Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodology.
8. Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts will be an advantage.

Educational Requirements

Candidates should have a degree in one of the following:

1. BCA
2. MCA
3. B.Tech / B.E.
4. B.Sc. IT / Computer Science
5. Equivalent qualification in Computer Science or Information Technology.

Experience Requirements

1. 1–2 years of hands-on experience in Python development.
2. Experience in developing or maintaining software applications using Python.
3. Practical knowledge of databases and API integration.
4. Candidates should be comfortable working in a remote and collaborative environment.
